NOVEMBER 3, 2026, GENERAL ELECTION VOTE BY MAIL STATUS

ANN F. GROSSI, ESQ.

EFFICIENT EFFECTIVE ENGAGED

In response to the current Supreme Court decision, please be advised the Morris County Clerk will be processing the Vote by Mail Ballots as per New Jersey State law. Ballots are due to begin mailing no later than September 19, 2026.

The State is currently in litigation with the Federal government, and at this time no one knows what the outcome will be.

If you are not comfortable at this time with receiving a Vote by Mail Ballot, you may opt-out by completing the Vote by Mail Ballot Opt-Out Form(PDF, 140KB). Once we receive and process your form you may vote early in-person at one of the 8 early voting locations or at your polling location on Election Day.

Please note that OPT-OUT requests had to be received by August 31 in order to be removed prior to the initial mailing of ballots.

If you chose to opt-out you may receive Vote by Mail Ballots in the future by submitting a new application.

If you continue to receive a Vote by Mail Ballot, it is strongly recommended that you place your ballot in the mail a minimum of 7 days prior to November 3 or place your ballot in one of the secure drop boxes located throughout Morris County. There is also a memo included in your Vote by Mail envelope that lists the Morris County drop box locations.

If for any reason you do not receive or submit your Vote by Mail Ballot, you may vote by Provisional Ballot at an early voting location or on Election Day.

Please email morriscountyclerkelections@co.morris.nj.us or call our office at (973) 285-6066 if you have any questions.

Thank you.
