Ann F. Grossi, Esq.
County Clerk Ann F. Grossi, Esq., the 30th Clerk of Morris County, was elected to her first five-year term in 2013, and was sworn in on January 2014. Clerk Grossi was re-elected to her second term in 2018, and is currently in the 8th year of her position.
Clerk Grossi is focused on:
- Ensuring a highly qualified staff focuses on professional and prompt customer service.
- Promoting state of the art technology, by providing the most current advancements in mission critical services, such as: website design, free Clerk’s mobile app, enhanced document recording, Election Night Reporting System, expanded programs, facility design innovations, upgraded bookkeeping/banking methods, and on-line services.
- Expanding Outreach Service for Passports, Notary and Veteran, Senior and Gold Star Parent ID cards through the “On the Road Program”.
- Protecting property owners from unscrupulous actors through the free Property Fraud Alert System.
- Creating recognition programs for Veterans, seniors and volunteers.
- “Operation Give Back”, a Veteran Discount Program with more than 300 participating Morris County merchants.
- Promoting education and supporting local organizations and events through the county wide speaker’s bureau.
- Yearly publication of the Morris County Manual; a centralized resource for residents regarding their government since 1907, whose cover page is designed by local high school students through the County Manual Design Competition.
Clerk Grossi was awarded a Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University, School of Law, MA and BA from William Paterson College of NJ, where she majored in education and holds two permanent teaching certificates; AA degree from the County College of Morris and a Certificate in Equal Employment Opportunity Studies from Rutgers, The State University, Institute of Management and Labor Relations. She is admitted to the NJ Bar, the US District Court for the District of NJ and the NJ Supreme Court.
Clerk Grossi served as President and Vice President on the Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Council, as Freeholder on the Morris County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and as County Clerk, where she is the second woman to hold that position since the establishment of the Clerk’s Office in 1739; 282 years ago.
Clerk Grossi worked in a law firm specializing in employment and labor law. She was the first female Chief of Enforcement in the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, where she oversaw state-wide enforcement activities. While there she worked under Justice Clarence Thomas on the Quality Assurance Project “excellence in agency case processing” while he was Chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Prior to creating her own firm, Ann was Associate Executive Director for a major labor organization where she represented more than 5,000 teachers and para-professionals.
Ann has served as President of the Morris County Library Foundation Board, member of the Picatinny Technology Innovation Center Board and the 200 Club of Morris County. She is a member of the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey; Parsippany Columbiettes, an affiliate of the Knights of Columbus; UNICO NATIONAL and Vice President of the Parsippany Rotary Club.
Ann has been honored for her contributions, dedication, and distinguished service by the following organizations: New Jersey Department of Law & Public Safety, Division on Civil Rights; New Jersey Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Securities; Parsippany Rescue & Recovery Squad; UNICO NATIONAL; St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church & Community, Polizia de Stato (Italian State Police) and the Polizia Locale (Italian Municipal Police); Woman of the Year by the Parsippany Club; Outstanding Italian American by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Community Affairs Unit, and the Italian American Police Society of New Jersey; Outstanding Woman of Achievement by the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber of Commerce; Outstanding Alumna by the County College of Morris; and recipient of the National Humanitarian & Achievement Award by the Columbian Foundation.
Ann grew up in Parsippany where she lives with her husband and daughter in her family home. She considers herself a public servant, not a politician, who has dedicated her life to serving all of the residents of New Jersey and Morris County.
