The Registry area of the County Clerk's Office has the
responsibility of reviewing Deeds, Mortgages, Maps and all other
land related documents for accuracy. The Registry also processes
Construction Lien claims, Clerk Certificates, Business Trade Name
Certificates, Veterans Discharge (DD214) papers and Vendor Licenses
for veterans. These documents are maintained by this office in the
Vault area of the County Clerk's Office.
The Registry Counter provides prompt, courteous service to Attorneys,
Mortgage Companies, Banks, Title Companies and related businesses.
They also process Small Business Registrations, including the
Certificate of Trade Name and Doctors Registrations. The personnel
at the counter also answer questions and provide assistance as needed.
The records in the Vault are reviewed daily by various title search
personnel and these records are available to the general public.
Archived documents can now be viewed with our Online
Document Search feature. Also, for your convenience
and in cooperation with the Morris County Tax Board, we now provide
Online Property Tax access.
The County Clerk's Office is a source of a
variety of applications that can be accessed online - including
applications for Notary Public, business Trade Name, and voting ballots.
A variety of applications are also available to the Public during
normal business hours.
