The hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through
Friday.
Evening hours on Wednesday evening until 7:00 pm.
Please check for any changes in office hours due to inclement
weather or pre-holiday schedule.
Application:
You may fill out on- line and print.
Submit the completed application form to the passport area in
the County Clerk’s Office.
- All travelers must have their own passport.
- Applicants must appear in person.
- An applicant 16 & 17 years old without a valid driver’s
license must appear with a parent or legal guardian with proper
ID.
- An applicant must have a certified birth certificate with
a raised seal from the Bureau of Vital Statistics or Department
of Health and it also must state both parent's names.A Certificate
of Naturalization or an expired or current passport will also
be accepted.
- One color, 2" x 2" regulation passport photo taken
within the last 6 months.
- A valid driver’s license for identification is needed.
If you do not have a valid driver’s license, you must
bring a witness to whom you have known for two or more years.
Witness must present a valid driver’s license. Applicant
must provide two secondary forms of identification such as:
social security card, current membership card, and / or voter’s
registration card. If in doubt please call (973) 285-6161.
- Social security numbers are mandatory for all persons over
the age of two.
- When filling out the application parental information is
vital .
- Children 15 years of age and younger must appear with both
parents who are properly identified in order to execute a passport
application. The child’s birth certificate must be submitted
and must have been issued by the Bureau of Vital Statistics
or the Department of Health. It must also include the names
of both parents. A previously issued passport must also be submitted.
- The fee for an adult passport is $135.00.A check for $110.00
made payable to U.S. Department of State
and $25.00 in cash or check payable to Morris County
Clerk.
- The fee for a child's passport is $105.00.A check for $80.00
made payable to U.S. Department of State
and $25.00 in cash or check payable to Morris County
Clerk. Please note a child is considered to be
anyone under the age of 16.
- The U.S. Department of State requires separate checks for
each passport.
- The Morris County Clerk fee may be combined for a family.
